Overview

The Gunboat is an original naval unit in The Conquerors 3 that can be produced in the Naval Shipyard. They are the cheapest naval combat ship, costing only $65.

Usage

Gunboats are best used for a quick attack on your enemies. They are the cheapest combat ship to buy, making them a go-to vessel when striking early in the game. Due to having a low price compared to other naval units, the Gunboat is also the weakest of the ships. Because of this, it is advised by many players to only use Gunboats when attacking enemy Oil Rigs for a quick blow to their economy, or use it's speed to attack unguarded Transport Ships or Hovercraft. In terms of battle, it is best to stick with either Battleships or Destroyers.

Strategies

• In the early game, you can use them to attack the enemy's Oil Rigs.
• Gunboats can be used early on to attack enemy shipyard's so you won't have to worry about enemy naval presence.
• You can use Gunboats to intimidate your opponent and limit their naval actions, at least in early game.
• Gunboats are the best naval solution to counter transport ships due to their speed.
• They are more cost-efficient than battleships, since you can buy two Gunboats giving you a total of 5 Damage per Second for $130, where a battleship costs $150 and is the same 5 DPS.
