Overview

The Command Center (also known as a CC for short) is a defensive building that comes from the original game, The Conquerors. Being the starting building in the game, CCs are one of the most important buildings in the game. This is due to the fact that not only does it attack any enemy units within its range, but it also has the unique characteristic of being required to use your allies' buildings.

Usage

Command Centers get a Quadruple (4x) damage buff during the first 20 minutes of the game, to prevent them from being destroyed early on by rushing armies.

Their usefulness also leads them to be the main focus of the enemy team in the mid-end game of short matches, alongside production and income buildings.

However, when cost-benefit is taken into consideration, the CC is actually one of the worst defensive buildings in the game costing $200 more than the Fort even if their damage is comparable, and $100 more than the Headquarters, which has both superior health, damage, and garrison capacity.

Despite this, it is always important to have a CC, as you cannot use any allied production buildings without it.

Strategies

• Command Centers are mostly used in big groups in the Survival gamemode.
• If you plan to build a large base, a CC can be effective at defending it, or acting as a deterrent for enemy armies.

Trivia

• The Command Center is one of the few buildings that made an appearance in every game of the Conquerors series.
• The Command Center can be teleported to with the T button. If you have multiple CCs, you will always teleport to the first one you had, even if it was destroyed and you made no other CCs.
