The Conquerors Blog - July 2021[]
Welcome to the July 2021 Edition of the Conquerors 3 Monthly Blog! In this blog we will outline information about the major updates of the month, as well as TCG news and Contest news! This month also sees a new, special format of the usual BrokenBone Q&A, with questions asked by the community!
The Conquering Games News:[]
Tired of never finding good games to play against good players? Join The Conquering Games! The Conquering Games is the TC3 official tournament and clan server. Here you can partake in brackets fit for you across the gamemodes 1v1, 2v2, and Teams. Link can be found in #other-communities.
Team Tournaments
July didn’t see terribly much action take place in TCG’s Team Tournaments, besides some matches here and there. Only one tournament saw a result decided, as Eternity took the win in the Elimination Mixed Division Bracket.
2v2 Tournaments
The same goes for 2v2 Tournaments, which also didn’t see a terribly huge amount of action. The only bracket to reach its conclusion this month was the Mixed Division Elimination Bracket, which was won by 408th Wyvern SS, after Executioners forfeit.
1v1 Tournaments
Unlike the other tournaments, July saw quite a lot of action take place in the 1v1 Tournaments. Various brackets came to their end this month! es took the win in the Juggernaut Elimination Bracket, as well as winning in the Juggernaut Round Robin Bracket, keeping his firm grip over the title of 1v1 champion which he has held for several months, while Fat Noob took the win in the Scout Division Bracket.
The month also saw the beginning- and surprisingly, the conclusion- of a second bracket of 1v1s. Fat Noob dethroned es from the winner of the Juggernaut Elimination Bracket, after only being promoted to Juggernaut by winning the Scout Bracket! es did, however, still win in the Juggernaut Round Robin Tournament Bracket. Furthermore, popeyeschicken took the win in the Scout Elimination Tournament.
Clans
This month has seen clans as a whole remain widely inactive, with the exception of a few. The Wyvern Imperium racked up the most Clan Points this month, with a grand total of 108,843 points. Toxic Dusk followed in second, amassing 65,511 points, while the Sleeping Giants of TUC; who have seen themselves go majorly inactive when compared to months in the past; gained 41,729 points.
TC3 Contests:[]
Meme Contest
This month has seen only one contest take place in the TC3 server; the Meme Contest. This monthly contest saw participants compete for the funniest, most unique and creative meme relating to TC3. There were hundreds of interesting memes- along with a large selection of not-so-good memes- however in the end, only 5 people could take the win. In the end, 5th place was taken by ProductionTakeTwo, with their “Go on. Take your humvee up the ramp.” meme. CoolTheCockerer took 4th place, with their meme about Saddam Hussein’s hiding place being underneath the TC3 bunker. Who knows; maybe it is underneath the bunker… 3rd place saw RocketValkyrie’s “Purple explaining that I can’t attack income buildings because someone said ‘20 minute oil truce’ in chat” meme, poking fun at players who try to enforce truces in TC3. 2nd place saw Ana Hydrangea’s meme comparing ICBMs in TCMK2- which players feared- to the Nuclear Missile in TC3, which is well-known to be very underwhelming. Finally, the title of dankest meme went to vStarzzy’s “Lineup outside your mom’s house”, which displays a glitched survival game where there are hundreds of units stacked upon each other, implying that your mother is “having private time” with hundreds of different people.
Ultimately, these meme creators saw themselves win 3,000, 3,000, 6,000, 8,000 and 10,000 coins respectively.
Information about Staff Members:[]
This month, the only change of staff positions occurred in the TCG community, in which RuthlessRadiation is no longer Head Match Staff, after being fired due to an incident. In his place, Onyx has re-taken the role of Head Match Staff!
Applications for Wiki Staff have been opened! If you wish to help maintain The Conquerors 3 Wiki, as well as handle bug reports and help in writing the monthly blog, then feel free to apply for Wiki Staff!
Along with Wiki Staff, Event Committee applications have also been opened! If you want to help with organising events, such as gamenights, contests and movie nights, as well as helping manage coin redeems, then apply to join the Event Committee!
Applications for both roles will be closing in early to mid August, so apply while you have the chance!
Update Information:[]
July began with the addition of two new monthly skins; the Scrapyard Construction Soldier and the Scrapyard Anti-Air Soldier. These skins were awarded to players who are in the Conquerors 3 Fan Group on Roblox.
Far overshadowing the skins is the Lobby Update, which is the most recent major update to the game. This saw the outdated, inefficient lobby removed, and replaced with a much more modern, efficient lobby. In this new lobby, users are now able to create and join parties, ensuring the whole party joins the same match at once. They are also able to create custom rooms, where they may choose the level requirement, gamemode, alliance settings, as well as the map itself. Alliance voting now occurs in the lobby, instead of on the old baseplate. Furthermore, King of the Hill has been re-added to the game, and various maps have been renamed for a more unique feel.
The current lobby, however, is not 100% complete. Because of this, expect to see more changes to the lobby in the near future, as more features are on their way!
Community Q&A With Brokenbone:[]
This month has not had a traditional Q&A with BrokenBone, as typically 3 questions are put forward for him to answer, and are then put in this blog for users to read. Instead, this month saw a live Q&A session occur, in which BrokenBone would answer the community’s questions live as they are sent to him. The event lasted an hour, meaning there are way too many questions to put them all on the blog, so here are a handful of the questions which were asked and answered:
Did you ever consider making a map editor of some sort? A community made map section would be fun.
For TC2 I did have a map editor. And it was responsible for several maps, some of which are still played today. I don't have an easy map editor to create smooth triangle maps however. Otherwise I'd be using it.
What unit was the most fun to develop and tweak?
No unit in specific comes to mind. I think the Shield Generator is kinda cool though, it was nifty tech for its time (2017).
What are your thoughts on possibly integrating parts of the competitive community server, The Conquering Games, like clans and tournaments into the game itself?
I would like to have more support for competitive players. I might just be able to put in tournament elements into the existing lobby. For stuff like elo, beyond maybe 1v1, it's not really feasible with the game's current playerbase (different from the more devoted fanbase).
Will VIP servers ever be cheaper so poor people can afford them?
I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to adjusting the price, but changing the price cancels every VIP server subscription, and I don't want to do that. Blame Roblox.
Will there be an “Among Us” mode, where everyone has to complete objectives and one “impostor” is among them?
I never looked into what Among Us is.
